What will you be responsible for?

For one of our clients in Voorhout, we are looking for people willing to work in the production of flower bulbs.

The work is carried out in 4 departments:

Flower bulbs quality control department: In this department, you will be responsible for quality control of flower bulbs in accordance with quality rules, cutting off unnecessary rhizomes and checking whether the bulbs are not too dry, wet or moldy, etc.

Manual packaging department: In this department, you will be responsible for packing various flower bulbs into various types of pots, vases, etc. Packing is done on tables, on a belt or through dosing machines, some people unpack the products in which the flower bulbs will be packed (e.g. flower pots , baskets, metal buckets, etc.), another person throws in soil/coconut/etc. then the next person adds various types of flower bulbs, and then the product is closed.

Machine packing department: In this department, packing is done mechanically. Various flower bulbs are packed into different bags, and then the finished bags can be packed into boxes according to the order. The machine operator is responsible for ensuring that there is a sufficient quantity of bulbs where the machine picks the bulbs, and ensures that the bags are packed well and to quality standards. It is important that teams of 2-3 people working on machines can communicate well with each other and create a well-coordinated team.

Logistics department: In this department, employees check the quality of incoming flower bulbs every day, in accordance with strict quality rules. They check on the machine whether the onions are not too dry, wet or moldy. In addition, the flower bulbs are placed in the appropriate storage area and remain at the appropriate temperature until they are packed in other departments. Employees arrange, collect orders and move pallets to designated places.

Employees can be transferred between departments depending on current demand, which gives the opportunity to gain extensive experience in various aspects of flower bulb production.

What do we expect from you?

  • availability to work from July 22 to at least September 8, 2024
  • willingness and motivation to work
  • from those living in company accommodation – willingness to commute to work by bike (up to 10 km)

  • salary – €13.68 gross/hour
  • extra bonus for company car drivers – up to €20 net per week
